A BRAND NEW REVOLUTION

SQT Bio Microneedling

Proud to be the first salon in Brighton to offer this ground breaking, results driven treatment.

SQT is a brand-new Bio Microneedling treatment, without the use of a machine and can be done on any part of the face or body! SQT stimulates the body’s scar-healing response and increases skin cell renewal. The creation of collagen and elastin is initiated as your skin heals, giving you an almost instant plumping effect.

It can aid in the treatment of scars, dark spots, sun exposure, acne, and skin ageing as well as treating stretch marks on the body. In only 5 minutes, 3,000,000 natural siliceous microneedles are directly introduced into the dermis layer through hand massage to promote skin metabolism and stimulate collagen regeneration. With no bleeding, no anaesthesia and no skin breakage, this treatment shortens the skin renewal cycle from 28 days to 7 days and achieves natural, safe and effective physical rejuvenation.

Flaking or peeling of the skin can be expected depending on the aesthetician’s level of penetration. Sponge spicules will not be absorbed but can last in the skin for up to 48 to 72 hours, then will be discharged with the stratum corneum that has fallen off.

How it works ?

Spongilla spicules are siliceous bio-microneedles extracted from freshwater sponges, which are 100% natural and safe for all skin types. Clinical results exceed expectations and one treatment is equivalent to three to five micro-needling sessions. The microscopic size of the needles allows for more effective penetration of pores and can activate skin microcirculation, relieve clogged pores, and accelerate skin metabolism. It is more effective than traditional dermal rollers or device Microneedling and has a wide range of applications with no side effects. The bio-microneedles stimulate collagen proliferation and promote new cell regeneration for younger-looking skin.

Spongilla Spicules are sharp, barbed structures found in the endoskeleton of sponges that contain essential nutrients and minerals for the skin. SQT Spongilla spicule needles stimulate collagen and elastin synthesis deep within the dermal layer, leaving the skin smoother, more youthful, and vibrant. The treatment creates 3-5 million micro channels within 5 minutes, promoting cell turnover and improving the effectiveness of topical skincare products by enhancing their absorption up to 3,000%. The skin is stimulated for up to 72 hours after treatment, providing nutrients and eliminating waste.

FAQs

  • The treatment can be performed on any part of the body, with the face, neck, cleavage and hands being the most common and popular treatment areas.

  • Yes. This is a crucial part of the treatment for you and me. During free consultation, I will explain everything about the treatment, what it involves and whether it is suitable for you.

  • Skin will be red, which may continue for 24-48 hours post treatment. You will feel the sponge spicules in your skin for that time (but only when the skin is touched), so skin should be treated gently and not rubbed or scratched. Aftercare products should be patted gently into the skin.

You may experience a degree of itching, this indicates the healing process.

There will be varying degrees of skin peeling. This will vary from client to client, but pigmentation will rise to the surface and look darker for a time. Acne will also have to come up and out so may look worse for one or two days.

  • This is determined by your cell renewal process. It can take up to 7 days for new baby skin to seem to see the full benefits, but the regeneration process will take several months, resulting in steady improvement.

  • This is determined by several factors including your age, the area being treated, the quality of your skin and the extent of your damage. In most situations, a series of 3 to 4 treatments is required, especially when we are targeting pigment spots or acne scars.
